high life.

the fact that i managed to get away with wearing a miller shirt to school still shocks me. it makes for a pretty good story though, which means it was worth the constant concern that the dean was going to pop up in front of me. regardless, i managed to stay fairly incognito for the whole day (with the exception of some loud-mouthed friends who enjoy embarrassing me) and the day went on to be as boring and uneventful as any other school day. personally, i think that any time you get a good reaction out of something you wear, you must be doing something right. so here's to more dress code violations and a happy, happy school year!

what i wore: ragstock jacket, thrifted shirt, zara jeans, urban outfitters boots, spitfire sunglasses, francesca's collections ring .

the chicagoenne.

welcome to The Chicagoenne, a blog written by a curly-haired teenager with too many sweaters and a thing for taking pictures of her clothes.

aren't we off to a great start?

i'm isabelle. sixteen years old, chicago born and raised, fluent in french and sass. i've spent my whole life in the grand old city of chicago, otherwise known as the only thing in the midwest i care about. i wish i lived in europe. sixteen years in one place is too long even for this city girl. hopefully, this blog will challenge me to make my last two years here interesting and motivate me to get dressed in the morning.

enjoy the distraction i need from my junior year.

isabelle.
